Shake it

October 8th, 2006

Shakin’ my bum-bum
Nothin’ much to say
Shakin’ my bum-bum
Nothin’ much to seh-aaaay

Shakin’ your bum-bum
Nothin’ much to say
Shakin’ your bum-bum
Nothin’ much to seh-aaaay

—Sophie’s new “rockin roll” song, which she has been singing all evening (and shaking her own bum-bum to). I think she should sell the lyrics to Britney.

    Britney’s not worthy.

I just know I’ll see this infomercial at 3 AM…

Random persdon: How’d you finance your daughters’ undergraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral educations at Ivy League schools without mortgaging your house, selling your car, or dipping into your retirement fund?

Jenn (with big TV smile on): You know that crazy popular Brittney song about her bum-bum? You too can turn your 5-year-old’s music writing into cash. Nothin’ much to saaaay.

-Heather, trying to record Lauren’s Hallowe’en song to sell to Christina Aguilera.

No, sell it to Fergie she needs the help. That London Bridge song makes no sense. I know what shaking your bum means but my london bridge going down…?????

Hmmm … “london bridge going down”? I don’t even know who Fergie is but I’m sure she’s not the Weight Watchers Princess and her bridge sounds a bit suggestive to me ….

I think Britney might be offended in that the Sophster’s trying to tell her something. And I think the Sophster might be right.

I fear for my little Sonja’s future. Although so far she has had a heavy dose of Frank Zappa as well as They Might Be Giants and really seems to like both. But I fear Britney and the gang are in my future somewhere.

It’s never too early to figure out that your bum can do the talkin’. Took me YEARS.

I love it! It’s too good for Britney actually. Although the lyrics do suit her uncannily well.
