Happy Snowy Thanksgiving
November 25th, 2005
Hope all you Amurican readers had a fine Thanksgiving day and steered clear of the Macy’s parade, where the lamp posts were falling down like drunks again.
We hunkered down in the Berkshires, with one of the world’s unluckier turkeys (lovingly and deliciously prepared by my mama) and some fantastic butternut squash soup a la David.
I made a hat.
And sat on my tushie in the big chair and drank hot cocoa and watched the snow fall outside.
Behold our first real snow of the season, inhabited by happy, runny-nosed children.

Oh, and here’s the hat. She seems frightened by it.

I’m jealous of the snow! Ok, so we’re in Alabama and I should not have unrealistic expectations, but the snow just looks so HOLIDAY-ish in your pix!
LOVE the hat.

Adorable hat! Awesome snowman!
We have had two snow-teasers, but no real snow. Just cold. I’m glad you enjoyed the holiday weather!

Snow! What fun. Here in Manhattan, it’s just terribly cold. Some snow would warm things up.
Glad you had a chance to sit still.

I guess I kinda understand her fear of the hat. She probably looked in the mirror and thought a bag of portpourri was eating her head.

I love the hat!
We have some crazy snow here in Quebec, too. (How in the heck do I make the accent over the first “e” in “Quebec” in this comment thing? Ah well…sorry, fellow Quebequois.)
Anywho, sounds like you got to relax a bit and looks as though the children are very happy with the snow!
Have a great weekend.

Sounds like a most enjoyable Thanksgiving. Slightly better than mine. I had to spend it babysitting my two nephews (one from each brother) who are extremely competetive. They argued about EVERYTHING. Including, and I am not making this up, who’s dad could make the biggest farts.
Get on your knees right now and give thanks that you have girls!

Hey Jenn.
The caption is - “this isn’t for real - right?!”
Seriously your talent has left me speechless
I must admit to feeling a little pang of worry when your mum told me you were crocheting. Jenn has a dark side I thought!!!
